1 Year Anniversary

We had our one year anniversary last weekend. I can't believe how fast our first year went! I loved our first year of marriage. Everyone says that the first year is pretty hard but ours was so much fun. Since our house has been "under construction" for about 4 months now I tend to lose my patience for the house quickly. So, we decided to take a break from the house work and actually stay somewhere that doesn't have tools scattered all over the floor. We ended up staying at the Little America hotel in SLC and seeing a movie and then we went to dinner at the Roof restaurant. I forgot my camera so I took some pictures from my phone again... they aren't the best.

My cute hubby!

Needless to say that we had a ton of fun and I am so thankful for Ryan and his sweet nature and very patient personality (which is something I need). Ryan is always so good to go along with what ever happens or if I decide to do something crazy. Just the other day he suggested that I go hang out with my sisters when he sands the floor because it will be really loud noises all day long....he is always thinking of me. I hope the rest of our millions of years together are as great as this year has been. Love ya honey.

It's Official!

Okay folks....I know it has been a million years since my last post. Sorry about that. As a quick catch up on everything that has gone on since the first of May until now is. I got a new job up at the University of Utah in their HRIS dept. I am basically doing the same job as before with better benefits and a little better pay. I still miss all of my old friends at IHC a ton though. Okay at the same time of getting the new job Ryan and I had started to redo our house a bit. We started with only putting in new hardwood floors only. That project has now morphed into new floors, new baseboard and casings, new paint on all of the walls oh and did I mention new paint on the ceiling as well. Now the latest thing is that we are toying with the idea of putting in new kitchen cabinets so we can hide our washer and dryer that are located in the kitchen. What have we gotten ourselves into? Geez So, we have a lot of projects going on...needless to say.

Recently, we had some holiday festivities for the 4th of July. We spent most of the day working on the house (surprise surprise) then we spent time with Ryan's family and extended family for a BBQ and then watched some killer fireworks up at Davis High School. We had a ton of fun.

Then the next day was my nieces second birthday so we had a party for my family the following day. It was really great to see all of the sisters and the entire family. All of the kids were so stinking cute. I think I took a few pictures but will post them later.... So, those are just a few of the millions of things that have gone on in the past while.

Okay onto the real reason why I am posting to day... of it being official. What I am referring to is changing my name to be my married name. It only took me 363 days to get it done from when we got married...hahahhaha Funny huh. I get harassed a lot for not having changed my name yet. So, I thought that I would get it done before we hit our 1 year anniversary. Hooray I am now..... Stacie baby Esther Fowers...uh I mean Rigby. Okay for those of you that don't know the inside joke... when I was little when someone would ask me my name I would always say Stacie Baby Esther Fowers. I was called Stacie baby for a long time when I was little (obviously) since it stuck. So now you know.

So, our 1 year anniversary is on Sat (July 12). I am really excited for it even though Ryan and I can't decide on what to do for it or what to even get each other. Ryan came home from work yesterday with roses to celebrate the fact that we got married on a Thursday. Which was sooo sweet! However, I think he got a little mixed up because yesterday was Wednesday instead of Thursday.... Oh well, he was just one day early.
